Malaysian hotshots Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong gave an awesome display to end Malaysia’s 25-year wait for a men’s doubles title in the All-England badminton championships at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham here Sunday.
The duo, hardly giving any chance to their opponent, the top seeds and the world champion Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng and beat them 21-15, 21-18 in a 38-minute battle. They did not show any nerves as it is their first outing as pair.
What makes their win so impressive is that they did not lose a single set in the competition. When I watch the match, it show that Malaysia have a really good talent and future. They show the will to win and I really hope other player no matter in what sports will emulate their achievement on the international stage.
